The following is our encounter with JVZ

My daughter, who is six years old and knows about the Skynyrd legacy from the crash until present, attended her second Skynyrd concert this year and she was more excited than ever, I posted a review of her 1st concert back on the official site before it was shut down if anyone remembers
It was in Philia Pa, at the Mann music center, an open air venue similar to a band shell, we had 4th row orchestra pit on Rickeys side of the stage.
There was all kinds of beachball activity and when ever one got close to us someone would bring it to Shania to kick it back into the crowd I think she was a bigger hit with the fans than Skynyrd was LOL and we met no1uno(Barbie) there also, she had front row center like always!!LOL
Kenny Wayne Sheppard opened up for Skynyrd unannounced The guy was incredible !!that skinny white boy sure can play the black mans blues, anyway, they were breaking down Kennys set and setting up for Skynyrd and we walked up to the stage and I was showing Shania around and we tried to get a set list but it was duct taped to the floor.
They lights went down and we were still up front leaning on the stage and I panicked I didnt know whether to go back to my seat or see if we could stay where we were and the guard came down to where we were and offered Shania his seat so she got up and leaned on the stage with me behind her .

Then they boys hit the stage, Garys marching across and He `s looking dead at us and I say to Shania in her ear that He was the best Guitarist ever and I`m sure Gary read my lips because he kept staring, like he remembered her from the last concert because then, we were right in front of him. He comes to her and gives her his pick ( that makes three now LOL) .

Then the song Whats Your Name comes on and Rickey is right in front of us !! Crotch shot right there in my little girls face!! and Johnnie comes over and they sing and play just about all of the song for her.
Rickey gives her a pick and Johnnie takes her hand and gives her a kiss I couldnt believe it!! MY favorite band and My little girl interacting, the band had actually acknowledged us and we participated.
we stayed in that spot all night thanks to the guard some one rushed the stage and got thrown off right in front of us I`m glad I caught it in time because they threw him of and I had to garb Shania and swing her so he could fall off the stage LOL.

The next night they were playing in Atlantic City, NJ, at the new House Of BLues that they just built. Me and my wife had tickets but Shania couldnt attend because of age restrictions, so she decided to make Johnnie ( her new boyfriend as she put it) a hand made thank you card with a little letter in it explaining that Mississippi Kid the 13th song on the lyve cd was her favorite song and that her brothers name was Ronnie after his brother and that he was born on Oct 20th and included a picture of him, the one that I had posted up on all the sites with him wearing a RVZ hat and expected us to deliver it to him
NOW its standing room only ,no seats we got first in line before the doors opened thanks to some frynds I had to meet from another website, Down South Jukin and a couple of members of the tribute band Freebird from Arizona , the doors open and we got front row right in front of the mic ... the RVZ angels blessed me again.. after several attempts at trying to pass this letter up.. I think it was about 7 time ...each time Johnnie came close my hand went up ..
He finally accepts it, a nd looks at it and smiles and shows it to Gary and then places at the drum kit

I never in my wildest dreams ever thought that I would be able to deliver this letter to JVZ but some how everything came together Thanks to The Hooty`s , Eddy K and Laurie ...Eddy helped me with the last strech up and final hand off
now its been weeks since the shows and Shania rushes to the mailbox in hopes of a reply and she is starting to doubt that we ever gave it to him
You see the pictures were on the outside of the letter she wrote and folded over so we dont know if Johnnie actually read it or if it was given back to him after the show when they broke down the drum kit
I sure hope he got it and read it , I sure wish there was away we could find out

she kinda grew out of johnnie and now shes into The Jonas bros ,Miley Cirus , and the Black Eyed Peas,whoever they are,...BOOM BOOM ZOW!! LOL
